1．like doing sth．與like to do sth．

like doing sth．的意思是“喜歡做某事(指經(jīng)?；蛄?xí)慣性的行為、愛好)”；而like to do sth．也表示“喜歡做某事(指具體或一次性的行為)”如：

She likes reading．她喜歡讀書。

They like to play basketall on this playground.

他們喜歡在這個操場上打籃球。

2． go on doing sth．與go on to do sth．

go on doing sth．的意思是“繼續(xù)做(原來正在做的事)”；而go on to do sth．則表示“繼續(xù)做(另一件事)”。如：

He goes on reading the book．他繼續(xù)讀書。

I went on to do my homework after I watched TV．我看完電視后繼續(xù)做作業(yè)。

3．remember doing sth．與remember to do sth．

remember doing sth．的意思是“記得過去曾經(jīng)做過某事”，指動作已經(jīng)發(fā)生了；而remember to do sth．則表示“記著要去做某事”，指動作還沒發(fā)生。如：

I remember seeing him somewhere．我記得在某一地方見過他。

I remember to post the letter today．今天我要記著寄這封信。

4．forget doing sth．與forget to do sth．

forget doing sth．的意思是“忘記了曾經(jīng)做過某事”，指動作已經(jīng)發(fā)生了；而forget to do sth．則表示“忘記了要去做某事”，指動作還沒發(fā)生。如：

I forgot telling her about it.我忘記我已把這事告訴她了。

Dont forget to turn off the lights before you leave．在你離開之前別忘記關(guān)燈。

5．stop doing sth.與stop to do sth．

stop doing sth.的意思是“停止正在做的某件事”；而stop to do sth．則表示“停下來(原來的事)去做另一件事”。如：

Stop talking．別講話。

He stopped to have a talk with his friend on his way home．

在回家的路上他停下來和他的朋友講話。

6．hard與hardly

hard具有形容詞和副詞兩種詞性，意思是“硬的，強(qiáng)烈的，難對付的，努力地，艱苦地”等意思；而hardly則表示“幾乎不，簡直不(常用作 “不”的委婉語)。如：

He is hard to get along with．他這人很難打交道。

I hardly know you．我?guī)缀醪涣私饽恪?/p>

7．so that與so．．．that

so that的意思是“以便，為了”，引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句；而so...that則表示“如此……以至于……”，引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句。如：

Speak loudly， so that everyone can hear you clearly．說話大聲點兒，以便每個人都能聽清楚。

He is so careless that he often makes mistakes in his exams．他是如此粗心以至于經(jīng)常在考試中犯錯誤。
